I started out with a plan to dye a 6 or 7 part color wheel study, but I love all the colors, so more kept weaseling their way in until I ended up with 14 colors in my rainbow. I'm not a good enough photographer to get all the colors to appear true in a single picture so I've taken pictures of the blue to purple and red to orange segments of the wheel individually to provide a more accurate picture of those colors. The set is stunning saturated rainbow goodness.
Colors are magenta, red, coral, orange, buttercup, yellow, chartreuse, kelly, teal, cyan, sapphire, violet, purple, and berry.
I have these sets available on two different fingering weight bases -- simple sock and shimmer sock. Both are 87 yards per 20 gram skein, for a total of 1,218 yards per 280 gram set.
Simple Sock
- 100% SW Merino
- 4-ply
- Very round
Shimmer Sock
- 75% SW Merino, 20% Nylon, 5% Lurex
- 2-ply
- Subtle shimmer from the Lurex
I only dyed a limited number of set and I'm not sure if I'll ever do this again, so get them while you can.
